Egyptian granite
Granite
Aswan granite built the obelisks. The same beds — red, pink, grey, black and green — are still quarried, and they remain the hardest-wearing material we ship.
Egyptian granite is an igneous stone of interlocking feldspar, quartz and mica crystals. It is hard, dense, frost-proof and effectively unaffected by acid, which makes it the default choice for external paving, kerbs, facades and kitchen worktops. Colour runs from the deep oxblood of Aswan Red through pinks and browns to grey, near-white and a single green.
No stone matches that combination. Clear a filter, or tell us what you are looking for — we cut materials that are not on this list.
Granite is supplied gangsaw-cut in 2 cm and 3 cm, or as blocks. Flamed, bush-hammered and sandblasted finishes are produced in-house for external, anti-slip specifications.
