Verde Ghazal Light is the pale grade of the Ghazal bed: the same olive ground, but carrying enough pale feldspar that the green survives being looked at from across a street. The darker grades do not — polished, they close toward black at any distance and only give the colour back at arm's length. So this is the grade specified when the green is the point of the elevation rather than a detail found on approach. The listed uses follow: facades, wall cladding, feature walls, external paving and stairs. Unlike the other two Ghazal grades it is not listed for kitchen tops and is not cut leathered. The abraded finishes suit it — flamed and bush-hammered open the surface and take the tone back, which on a mid-value olive means a lighter, flatter green rather than a darker one. It is cut as tiles, cut-to-size and steps, not as kerbs or cobbles.
Ghazal Dark is the same bed selected the other way, deep enough that polished it reads black until you are at the surface. Verde Ghazal, the mid grade, sits between the two and is the one that also carries a leathered finish and a kitchen-top listing; the light grade carries neither.

How Verde Ghazal Light is supplied
Blocks
Quarry blocks selected and squared. Typical 2.6 – 3.0 × 1.5 × 1.5 m, 18 – 30 tonnes. Sold by m³, loaded on flat rack or in-container with steel cradles.
Gangsaw slabs
Full-size slabs from the gangsaw. Marble typically 2.6 – 3.0 × 1.6 – 1.9 m in 2 cm and 3 cm; granite 2 cm and 3 cm. Bundled by block so vein sequence is preserved.
Tiles
Calibrated tiles in 30×30, 30×60, 40×40, 60×60, 60×120 cm and free length, 1.0 – 3.0 cm. Edges straight-cut or bevelled, back-mesh on request.

Verde Ghazal Light — questions buyers ask
Will the green still read from street level?
That is the reason this grade is separated out — the extra pale feldspar keeps the olive visible at building scale, where Verde Ghazal and Ghazal Dark collapse toward black. All three look green in the hand, so judge this one from a large piece or a laid elevation rather than from a 10 cm sample.
Is it suitable for external paving?
Yes, external paving is a listed use, with flamed or bush-hammered as the finishes for it. It is cut as tiles, cut-to-size and steps but not as kerbs or cobbles, so kerb and sett lines have to come from another stone.
Can I use it for worktops?
Kitchen tops are not among its listed uses and it is not cut leathered. If the job wants a Ghazal green worktop, Verde Ghazal and Ghazal Dark both list kitchen tops and both carry the leathered finish.
How is the light grade separated from the mid grade?
By how much pale feldspar a block carries through the olive, which is a judgement made block by block rather than a separate source. On a whole elevation, fix the quantity in one order and ask for photographs of the actual blocks before cutting.
