Slabs are a material; cut-to-size is a delivery. What arrives is the schedule you drew, piece-marked in installation order, with the tolerances stated below. بالعربية

01 — What we cut

Pieces, not just slabs

Window sills and thresholds

Sills with drip grooves, thresholds and copings, mitred and polished on the exposed edges, in marble or granite.

Steps and risers

Treads with bullnose, half-bullnose or eased edge, anti-slip grooving on request, risers and stringers cut to match.

Skirting

Skirting cut to the heights on your drawings, with the top edge eased or polished, in straight lengths for corridors and rooms.

Cladding panels

Panels cut to a setting-out plan, with kerf slots or anchor holes drilled to the fixing detail.

Worktops and vanity tops

Mitred edges, cut-outs for sinks and hobs, undermount polishing, drainage grooves.

Floor and wall tiles

Calibrated tiles in the module your drawing calls for, cut from one batch wherever the quantity allows.

02 — How an order runs

From your drawing to the crate

Drawing → quotation → sample → block approval → cutting → piece marking → inspection → crating → container photographs.

Nothing is polished before you have approved the material, and nothing is cut before the setting-out is agreed. For repeat work we keep the batch reference so a later order matches the first.

Finishes, formats and tolerances

Tolerances

± 1 mm to drawing on cut-to-size; ± 0.5 mm on calibrated thickness; flatness within 0.2 % of the longest edge.

Every piece numbered to your plan, crate contents listed on the packing list by mark.

Packing

Heat-treated timber, ISPM 15 stamped, edge protection, moisture film, photographs of the loaded container before it sails.

Documents

Commercial invoice, packing list by crate, bill of lading and certificate of origin. Laboratory tests arranged for the stone you select.

03 — Buying from Egypt

How a cut-to-size order travels

We saw and work the pieces in Alexandria and load at Alexandria, Port Said or Sokhna, quoting FOB or CIF your port. Several items, finishes or stones can travel in the same container, crated so it can be opened in installation order.

Payment is 50 % in advance, 30 % on approval after production and 20 % before shipping. For the stone you select we arrange water absorption, flexural strength and abrasion tests at an accredited laboratory.

Questions

Buying cut-to-size from Egypt

What do you need from me to quote?

A drawing or a schedule with the piece sizes, the thickness, the finish and the quantity, plus the destination port. A sketch with dimensions is enough to start; a DWG or PDF setting-out plan is better.

What tolerances do you hold?

Cut-to-size is worked to drawing at ± 1 mm, calibrated tiles ± 0.5 mm on thickness, and tiles squared to ± 0.5 mm on the diagonal. Tighter tolerances are possible — say so at quotation stage, not after cutting has started.

How are the pieces marked and packed?

Every piece is marked against your setting-out plan, then crated in heat-treated timber with edge protection and foam between polished faces, so a crate can be opened in installation order.

Is there a minimum?

Export starts at one 20 ft container. For a smaller trial, a part-load can be consolidated with another order to the same port — ask and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth it.

Can you match an existing floor?

Send a sample or a photograph with a scale in it. We will tell you which of our stones is the closest and whether the difference will show — and we would rather say it is not a match than ship a lookalike.

What are the payment terms?

50 % in advance on order, 30 % after you approve the finished production, 20 % before shipping.

Ordering

What an order involves

Minimum

One 20 ft container. Several sizes, finishes or stones can travel in the same container — send the list and we produce the loading plan.

Samples

Cut samples go out by courier in the finish and thickness you are considering, and the sample cost is credited against the first order.

Tolerances

Cut to drawing at ± 1 mm; calibrated thickness ± 0.5 mm. If your specification names a standard, send the clause and we confirm against it before cutting.

Send the drawing.

A schedule or a sketch with dimensions is enough. We come back with a price per piece, the lead time and the loading plan.
