Egyptian stone, delivered to your market

Every market asks something different — a different port, a different certificate, a different set of stones that actually sell. These pages set out what buying Egyptian marble and granite looks like from where you are.

22 – 32 days port to port

China

The largest buyer of raw stone on earth, and the reason Egyptian beige leaves the quarry in block form at all. Blocks to Xiamen and the Fujian trade, and to the Guangdong and Shandong processors.

Shipping to China

12 – 20 days port to port

United Kingdom

We ship Egyptian marble and granite, plus engineered quartz, to the UK from Alexandria, and arrange the laboratory tests a UK merchant or contractor asks for.

Shipping to UK

7 – 12 days to Koper, plus 1 – 2 days road

Hungary

Landlocked delivery into Hungary, routed through the northern Adriatic and trucked to Budapest — usually cheaper and faster than the Black Sea route.

Shipping to Hungary

5 – 9 days port to port

Italy

Block supply to Carrara, Verona and the Puglia processors — the trade that has run between Egypt and Italy for a century.

Shipping to Italy

14 – 21 days to Hamburg; 7 – 12 days to Koper

Germany

Specification-grade Egyptian stone into Germany, with laboratory tests arranged for the stone your project selects.

Shipping to Germany

About two weeks port to port, with a transshipment in Piraeus or Türkiye

Romania

One of the largest markets for Egyptian granite, shipped into the EU through Constanța on the Black Sea.

Shipping to Romania

3 – 6 days to Jeddah

Saudi Arabia

Egyptian marble and granite into Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam — the shortest route we run, Sokhna to Jeddah across the Red Sea.

Shipping to Saudi Arabia

7 – 12 days port to port

United Arab Emirates

Sokhna to Jebel Ali, into a market that buys finished cut-to-size as readily as it buys slabs.

Shipping to UAE

18 – 28 days port to port

United States

Full container loads to the East and Gulf coasts, for distributors and fabricators buying direct rather than through a re-exporter.

Shipping to USA

2 – 4 days by sea; road via Sallum where the border is running

Libya

One of the largest buyers of Egyptian marble, and the closest — two to four days from Alexandria, or by road through Sallum.

Shipping to Libya

2 – 5 days

Türkiye

Turkish factories are the largest buyers of Egyptian granite, and they buy blocks — gangsaw sizes, sawn and re-exported as finished stone.

Shipping to Türkiye

4 – 7 days

Algeria

A major market for Egyptian granite, served straight across the Mediterranean from Alexandria.

Shipping to Algeria

2 – 3 days

Lebanon

A major destination for Egyptian marble, and two to three days from Alexandria to Beirut.

Shipping to Lebanon

10 – 18 days by sea, depending on transhipment

Iraq

Delivered to Umm Qasr through the Gulf, or overland through Aqaba — with the conformity certificate Iraqi customs now require.

Shipping to Iraq

1 – 3 days

Jordan

The shortest sea leg we run — Sokhna to Aqaba across the Red Sea, and a land bridge onward into Iraq.

Shipping to Jordan

8 – 14 days

Kuwait

Down the Red Sea and through the Gulf to Shuwaikh, for villa and finishing work where the material is chosen on sight.

Shipping to Kuwait

8 – 14 days

Shipping to India

8 – 14 days

Qatar

Down the Red Sea and through the Gulf to Hamad Port, for hospitality and residential work specified to a tight standard.

Shipping to Qatar

3 – 6 days on a direct call; 8 – 14 days transshipped

Tunisia

Tunisia's own dimension stone is all sedimentary, so the granite comes in. A short Mediterranean leg to Radès, and beige competes with Thala on landed cost.

Shipping to Tunisia

14 – 20 days direct to Casablanca; 7 – 10 days to Tanger Med plus the feeder

Morocco

Casablanca and Tanger Med, with duty-free entry on a EUR.1 under the Agadir Agreement — which Morocco has applied unevenly to Egyptian goods since 2025.

Shipping to Morocco

6 – 11 days port to port; either can be the first Spanish call

Spain

Spain quarries its own beige, so this is a landed-cost argument rather than a supply one — cream and golden Egyptian marble into the Alicante and Almería factories.

Shipping to Spain

7 – 12 days to Marseille; 25 – 30 days to Le Havre

France

Egyptian marble and granite, and engineered quartz, into Marseille on the direct West Med sailing, with laboratory tests arranged for the stone you specify.

Shipping to France

7 – 12 days to Genoa, plus 2 – 4 days on the rail leg to Basel

Switzerland

No customs duty at all: Switzerland zero-rated industrial imports in 2024, so the landed cost here is freight and rail, not tariff.
