The company
A family name, cut from the quarry
Wesha is a name, not a slogan. We quarry, saw, finish and export Egyptian stone, and we have been doing it from the same yard in Shaq El Thoaban for 25+ years.
Egypt sits on some of the largest beige marble reserves in the world and on granite beds that were being worked before anyone thought to write the fact down. What the country has often lacked is the discipline between the quarry and the container — consistent sawing, honest block selection, packing that survives a sea crossing, and paperwork that clears customs without a phone call.
That gap is the business. We buy blocks at the face, saw and finish them ourselves, and take responsibility for the material until it is standing in your warehouse. When a block is not good enough we say so, and when a colour has moved we tell you before we cut, not after you open the crate.
The factory
Our plant in the Shaq El Thoaban industrial zone east of Cairo runs 4 gangsaw lines, 6 block cutters and 2 CNC lines across 18,000 m², with a monthly output of about 60,000 m² of finished material. Resin treatment, calibration, edge profiling and finishing are all in-house.
Quality
Every bundle is inspected against the approved block before it is packed. We hold EN test reports on the materials we ship most, issue CE declarations of performance for European destinations, and will arrange third-party inspection at your cost on any order.
Working with us
We deal with importers, fabricators, contractors and architects, and we are comfortable at both ends of the scale: a single container of tiles for a fabricator's stock, or a phased facade package that has to hold colour across two years of deliveries.
Wesha Stones is a manufacturer and exporter. We do not install, and we do not sell retail from the yard — everything leaves in a container.
Where the stone comes from
Four regions, one yard
Galala Mountain, Suez
The plateau above the Gulf of Suez. Warm cream-beige marble in enormous block volumes — Galala Classic, Galala Extra and Perlato.
Minya, Upper Egypt
The escarpment on the west bank of the Nile in Upper Egypt. Sunny, Silvia, Samaha, Beige Menia and the Milly Gray family.
Aswan
The granite of the pharaohs, still working. Red, pink, grey, near-white and black, plus the dark Gandola bed.
Sinai
Cooler, pearlier marbles with a grey-green cast — Sinai Pearl, Katrina and Golden Sinai.
Come and see it, or let us send it.
Visitors are welcome at the factory — we will arrange the quarry trip too. If you would rather not travel, samples and block photographs do the same job.
