Drag the slab to turn it, or use the arrow keys. Switching finish re-renders the surface — polished throws a hard specular, the abraded finishes open the surface up and knock the colour back.
Red Aswan Light is a selection, not a separate quarry. The Aswan bed runs from oxblood at one end to pink-red at the other, and this is the material taken from the lighter horizons: pinker feldspar, less black amphibole, a lower overall weight of colour. That matters at building scale. A whole elevation in the dark grade goes heavy and begins to look like a monument, while the light grade stays warm across a full facade, which is why it is the Aswan red most often specified when the entire elevation is granite. It is produced polished and honed for cladding, flamed, bush-hammered and sandblasted for paving, stairs and kerb work. Kitchen tops and monuments are not on its list; those sit with the parent stone and the dark grade. Availability is very high, but because this is a graded selection rather than a bed of its own, agree the grade against approved material at order rather than on the name.
Aswan Red is the parent stone and Red Aswan Dark the deep oxblood end of the same bed; both carry monuments, kitchen tops and a leathered finish that the light grade does not. Aswan Red also comes in cobbles, where Red Aswan Light stops at kerbs.

Photographs
Red Aswan Light in the yard
Photographs of our own blocks, slabs and finished work. Slab photography shows one slab — the block it came from is what you are quoted against.
Laid out
Red Aswan Light across a floor
A photograph shows one slab on a stand. This shows the stone tile after tile — where the pattern repeats, how far the tone drifts across a batch, and what the joint does to it. Every tile here is cut from a different part of the surface, the way material comes out of a real crate.
Indicative layout. Tone drift is deliberate — no two tiles from one batch match exactly, and a laid floor should never look like one photograph repeated.
In the room
Red Aswan Light against your wall colour
Nobody buys stone on a white background. Put Red Aswan Light on the floor, up the wall or across a worktop, set the colour it will actually sit against, and change the light — the same three questions every client asks on a site visit, answered before the sample ships.
A scene, not a render of your project: proportions are indicative and colour on a screen is never the colour in a room. Send us the drawings and we will lay the real slab sizes out against your setting-out.

Red Aswan Light, close up
The slab above turns; this is the same stone at the size it sits in your hand. Change the finish and it re-cuts.
Roughly a 130 mm span of Red Aswan Light, polished. A rendered preview, not a photograph of stock — ask for a physical sample before you specify.

Asked about this stone
Red Aswan Light — questions buyers ask
What is the actual difference from Aswan Red?
Same bed, lighter horizons. The feldspar runs pink-red rather than oxblood and there is less black through it, so the stone sits lighter on a large elevation.
How do we make sure we get the light grade?
Say so on the order and agree it against approved blocks or slabs. It is a selection out of a bed that also produces the parent stone and the dark grade, so the name on its own does not fix the colour.
Is it a worktop stone?
Not on its list. Kitchen tops sit with Aswan Red and Red Aswan Dark, and leathered — the finish dark and red worktops are usually taken to — is not produced in the light grade.
Can it do the paving and the kerbs as well as the cladding?
Yes: external paving, stairs, and kerbs and landscaping are all on its list, in flamed, bush-hammered or sandblasted. Cobbles and setts are not cut in the light grade — Aswan Red carries those.
