The Hoody beds in the Eastern Desert give a rose-pink granite with an unusually open crystal: large pale feldspar, clear quartz, and only a light scatter of dark mineral, so nothing darkens the ground. Polished, it is one of the lightest granites Egypt produces, and it is the only granite in this range listed for interior flooring — it takes lobby and stair traffic while sitting at the value of a pale marble floor. That is usually why it is chosen: the client wants a light stone and granite maintenance, and this is where the two meet. It is not, though, a plain surface. The crystal is large enough to read across a floor and to be legible on a worktop, so if the drawing wants an even field a finer-grained stone will serve better. Finishes run polished through to sandblasted; leathered is not one of them. Also sold as Rosa Hoody.
White Safaga and Bianco Halayeb are lighter again and read grey-white with fine dark flecking; Hoody Light keeps a rose cast and a far more open crystal. They are not interchangeable — one is a neutral, the other is a warm stone that happens to be pale.

How Hoody Light is supplied
Blocks
Quarry blocks selected and squared. Typical 2.6 – 3.0 × 1.5 × 1.5 m, 18 – 30 tonnes. Sold by m³, loaded on flat rack or in-container with steel cradles.
Gangsaw slabs
Full-size slabs from the gangsaw. Marble typically 2.6 – 3.0 × 1.6 – 1.9 m in 2 cm and 3 cm; granite 2 cm and 3 cm. Bundled by block so vein sequence is preserved.
Tiles
Calibrated tiles in 30×30, 30×60, 40×40, 60×60, 60×120 cm and free length, 1.0 – 3.0 cm. Edges straight-cut or bevelled, back-mesh on request.
Cut-to-size

Hoody Light — questions buyers ask
Is it suitable for an interior floor in a public building?
Yes — it is the only granite in this range we list for interior flooring, and it takes lobby and stair traffic without the upkeep a pale marble floor would need. Specify honed rather than polished where the floor gets wet near the entrance, and flamed or sandblasted outside the threshold.
Will it match Hoody Dark on the same job?
They come out of the same beds and behave the same way — same hardness, same weathering — but they are two values, not a graded range. Use them as a deliberate light-and-dark pairing rather than expecting one to blend into the other.
Can I have it leathered for a worktop?
Not in this grade. Hoody Light is supplied polished, honed, flamed, bush-hammered or sandblasted; Hoody Dark from the same quarry is the leathered option if the texture matters more to you than the pale colour.
Can I buy blocks rather than finished slabs?
Yes. Availability is high and blocks are a standard format alongside slabs, tiles, cut-to-size, kerbs and steps, so a fabricator sawing their own can take the block.
