Drag the slab to turn it, or use the arrow keys. Switching finish re-renders the surface — polished throws a hard specular, the abraded finishes open the surface up and knock the colour back.
Bianco Halayeb is the pale end of the Halayeb beds in the Red Sea hills — the same district that gives the warm brown Halayeb and the bolder grey New Halayeb. The white blocks come through as a pale grey-white ground with fine black flecking, bright enough to read as a light stone on an elevation rather than as a grey; the benchmark in its own record is Grey Aswan, against which it is considerably brighter. That is what it is for. Egyptian granite runs dark, and a genuinely light granite facade is otherwise hard to source from this country. The fleck is fine but it is not invisible: on cladding at close range, or on a stair tread, the speckle reads clearly and the surface is livelier than White Safaga. Availability is medium rather than the Very high of the Aswan greys and reds, so fix the quantity for a whole elevation in one order.
White Safaga is the other pale granite it gets weighed against: finer, more even, and quieter at distance. Bianco Halayeb has the coarser fleck and more to look at close up, which suits cladding and treads, where White Safaga suits a large paved area meant to read as one tone — and unlike White Safaga, Bianco Halayeb is not cut as cobbles.

Photographs
Bianco Halayeb in the yard
Photographs of our own blocks, slabs and finished work. Slab photography shows one slab — the block it came from is what you are quoted against.
Laid out
Bianco Halayeb across a floor
A photograph shows one slab on a stand. This shows the stone tile after tile — where the pattern repeats, how far the tone drifts across a batch, and what the joint does to it. Every tile here is cut from a different part of the surface, the way material comes out of a real crate.
Indicative layout. Tone drift is deliberate — no two tiles from one batch match exactly, and a laid floor should never look like one photograph repeated.
In the room
Bianco Halayeb against your wall colour
Nobody buys stone on a white background. Put Bianco Halayeb on the floor, up the wall or across a worktop, set the colour it will actually sit against, and change the light — the same three questions every client asks on a site visit, answered before the sample ships.
A scene, not a render of your project: proportions are indicative and colour on a screen is never the colour in a room. Send us the drawings and we will lay the real slab sizes out against your setting-out.
Surface
Bianco Halayeb, close up
The slab above turns; this is the same stone at the size it sits in your hand. Change the finish and it re-cuts.
Roughly a 130 mm span of Bianco Halayeb, polished. A rendered preview, not a photograph of stock — ask for a physical sample before you specify.

Asked about this stone
Bianco Halayeb — questions buyers ask
Is Bianco Halayeb a white or a grey?
A pale grey-white, not a true white. Against Grey Aswan it is considerably brighter, but the ground is light grey carrying fine black flecking. If a specification calls for a white with no grey in it, nothing in the Egyptian granite range will meet it.
Which finish for external paving?
Flamed, bush-hammered or sandblasted — all three are cut in this stone. On a ground this pale the abraded finishes flatten the surface rather than darkening it, so the stone stays light. Polished belongs on cladding and interior work, not underfoot.
Can I have it leathered for a worktop?
No. The finishes cut in Bianco Halayeb are polished, honed, flamed, bush-hammered and sandblasted, and none of the three Egyptian whites is offered leathered. Kitchen tops are a listed use, so polished or honed is the choice there.
Is it available as cobbles for setts?
No — it is cut as blocks, slabs, tiles, cut-to-size, steps and kerbs. For a pale granite sett in the same family, White Safaga is the one cut as cobbles.
