What has to travel with it
CE marking under the EU harmonised standards, with a Declaration of Performance: EN 12057 for tiles, EN 12058 for slabs and stairs, EN 1341 for external paving. Tell us the standard and the use your project is specified to. For the stone you select we arrange water absorption, flexural strength and abrasion tests at an accredited laboratory.
03 — What sells here
Stone that suits the Netherlands
Much of the natural stone sold in the Netherlands comes in through importers who also supply Belgium and Germany, and today it is mostly Italian, Indian and Chinese. Egyptian beige limestone — Galala, Sinai Pearl and Sunny Menia — goes into floors and walls, and Egyptian granite into paving, steps and kitchens, from a shorter sea leg out of Alexandria.
Galala Classic
Egypt's flagship beige — warm, even and quarried in volume.

04 — Questions
Buying from Egypt, into the Netherlands
What is the smallest order?
One 20 ft container. Several stones and thicknesses can share it.
Which stones can go outside?
Granite is the safe choice for frost-exposed paving and steps. For any limestone or marble you want outside, we arrange frost and water-absorption tests on the stone you select first.
Can you deliver to site rather than the port?
Yes, on DAP terms. Send the address and any access restriction; stone arrives on A-frames or in crates and needs room to unload.
Quoting for the Netherlands?
Send the stone, the finish, the thickness, the quantity and the destination port. You get FOB and CIF prices and a lead time, usually within one working day.
