02 — Paperwork

What has to travel with it

A certificate of origin, the commercial invoice, the packing list and the bill of lading travel with every container, and timber packaging is heat treated and marked to ISPM 15. Tanzania applies the East African Community common external tariff: confirm the rate and any requirement with your customs broker before we load. For the stone you select we arrange water absorption, flexural strength and abrasion tests at an accredited laboratory.

Buying from Egypt, into Tanzania

What is the smallest order?

One 20 ft container. Several stones and thicknesses can share it.

Can you deliver to Zanzibar?

We ship to Dar es Salaam; your forwarder takes it on to Zanzibar. Tell us at booking and we pack for the extra handling.

Can you send samples first?

Yes: cut samples by courier, paid by the buyer.

Quoting for Tanzania?

Send the stone, the finish, the thickness, the quantity and the destination port. You get FOB and CIF prices and a lead time, usually within one working day.
