Getting it to you
Road out of Alexandria. Cairo and the Delta are 220 km down the desert road; the North Coast runs west to Marsa Matrouh at 240 km.

Next day to Cairo and the North Coast; two days to the Red Sea and Upper Egypt.
Terms
EXW our Alexandria yard, or DAP to your site with the haulage priced in. FOB and CIF do not arise — there is no sea leg and no bill of lading.

02 — Paperwork

What has to travel with it

Nothing crosses a border, so there is no certificate of origin, no CE mark and no clearance file to assemble. We invoice in EGP with 14 per cent VAT, reported through the ETA e-invoicing system, and quotes carry a validity date. We do not quote an Egyptian Standard number for dimension stone; if your specification names one, send it and we will work to it.

03 — What sells here

Stone that suits Egypt

The domestic trade runs through Shaq El Thoaban in Cairo, where a couple of thousand factories and workshops cut and finish. We are at the other end of the desert road, and we produce what we sell, so no trader sits between the block and the invoice. Beige and cream marble goes into residential and hotel interiors, granite into kitchen tops, stair treads and external paving.

Buying from us in Egypt

Do you sell inside Egypt, or only for export?

Both. The factory is in Alexandria and we supply Egyptian contractors, fabricators and developers from the same yard the export orders load from.

How is a domestic order invoiced?

In EGP with 14 per cent VAT, reported through the ETA e-invoicing system. Quotes carry a validity date. If you need USD referencing, raise it at enquiry.

Are the payment terms the same as export?

Not necessarily. The 50 / 30 / 20 schedule is keyed to shipping milestones a road delivery does not have, so ask us for the domestic terms.

Can I collect the material myself?

Yes — EXW from the yard in the Abd El Kader manufacturing area in Alexandria. Tell us the vehicle and we load it.

Buying in Egypt?

Send the stone, the finish, the thickness, the quantity and the governorate you want it delivered to. You get an EGP price and a lead time, usually within one working day.
