Beige Onyx is where a project starts when it wants onyx and also wants area. The bands are warm beige on a slightly paler ground, low enough in contrast that several panels can sit side by side without one of them taking over, which is not the case across most of this range, where a single slab is usually the whole design. Backlit it warms rather than performs; unlit it reads close to a beige marble, so what you are buying is what happens when the light goes behind it. Vanity tops are among the listed uses, and honed is the sensible finish there: onyx is calcite at Mohs 3–4 and etches, and a matt face hides the marks a gloss one advertises. Availability moves constantly and it is quoted slab by slab, so ask before you specify rather than after.
Onyx Miele is the same idea in honey rather than beige: stronger colour, the warmest thing we handle backlit, and listed for panels and bar fronts rather than vanity tops. Take the Miele when the onyx is meant to be the event; take Beige when it has to be the ground several panels sit in.

Gangsaw slabs
Full-size slabs from the gangsaw. Marble typically 2.6 – 3.0 × 1.6 – 1.9 m in 2 cm and 3 cm; granite 2 cm and 3 cm. Bundled by block so vein sequence is preserved.

Beige Onyx — questions buyers ask
Can you match panels across a run?
This is the onyx in the range with the best chance of it — the banding is consistent enough to carry across several panels — but matching still means consecutive slabs from one block. Give us the total area and the panel sizes at enquiry rather than ordering by the square metre.
How much does it change between lit and unlit?
Not much: warm beige either way, brighter and more amber with light behind it. If you want the change itself to be the effect, Brown Onyx is the one that goes from near-opaque chocolate to amber.
Why specify this instead of a beige marble?
Unlit there is not much in it. The case for Beige Onyx is translucency at roughly 15–20 mm and what a backlit panel does that marble cannot — if nothing is being lit, a beige marble is the more sensible buy.
Is it suitable for a bathroom?
Vanity tops are listed; acidic wet areas are not, and no onyx goes on the floor. Specify honed and tell the client it will etch.
