Apple Jasper — semi precious slab
Polished slab

Drag the slab to turn it, or use the arrow keys. Switching finish re-renders the surface — polished throws a hard specular, the abraded finishes open the surface up and knock the colour back.

Apple Jasper is the brightest green in the catalogue, closer to a mineral specimen than to a marble, with pale veining through a strong green ground. It is a material for small amounts, and its application list says so: vanity tops, bar fronts, borders and inlay, decorative objects, and only then feature walls. It is the only stone in the semi-precious range we list for borders and inlay, which is the honest use for a colour this strong. Give it a large surface and it stops being an accent and starts setting the palette for everything around it. Polished only. Bought in as imported block through our supply partnership, made up from cut sections and backed with fibreglass mesh and resin, and quoted slab by slab, so tell us the quantity at enquiry: the green is limited by what exists, not by what we can produce.

Ocean Jasper is the green to specify when you want quantity — same family, but its orbs settle into a mottle at distance. Apple Jasper does not settle; it holds its colour at any size, which is why its list starts with vanity tops and inlay and only ends with feature walls.

Photographs

Apple Jasper in the yard

Photographs of our own blocks, slabs and finished work. Slab photography shows one slab — the block it came from is what you are quoted against.

Laid out

Apple Jasper across a floor

A photograph shows one slab on a stand. This shows the stone tile after tile — where the pattern repeats, how far the tone drifts across a batch, and what the joint does to it. Every tile here is cut from a different part of the surface, the way material comes out of a real crate.

Apple Jasper tile — semi-precious stone

Indicative layout. Tone drift is deliberate — no two tiles from one batch match exactly, and a laid floor should never look like one photograph repeated.

In the room

Apple Jasper against your wall colour

Nobody buys stone on a white background. Put Apple Jasper on the floor, up the wall or across a worktop, set the colour it will actually sit against, and change the light — the same three questions every client asks on a site visit, answered before the sample ships.

The slab above turns; this is the same stone at the size it sits in your hand. Change the finish and it re-cuts.

Asked about this stone

Apple Jasper — questions buyers ask

How much of it should I use?

Small amounts. Vanity tops, bar fronts, borders and inlay, decorative objects — it is the only stone in the semi-precious range we list for borders and inlay, and that is the honest use for a green this strong.

Is the green consistent between pieces?

It is a strong green ground with pale veining, quoted slab by slab, so tone moves from piece to piece. For inlay work take all the pieces from one slab at the outset rather than topping up later.

Can it take a vanity top?

Vanity tops are first on its list. It is not a flooring or external material — both are excluded for the semi-precious group — and slabs are made up from cut sections on a fibreglass and resin backing, so give us the cut-outs and edge detail at enquiry.

Can it be lit from behind?

Backlit panels are not among the uses we list for Apple Jasper. If you want green with a light behind it, the onyx greens in this category — Green Onyx, Light Green Onyx and Indian Onyx — are the backlit materials.
