Imperial Grey Dark is not a separate quarry. It is the charcoal end of the same North Sinai bed as Imperial Grey: blocks that come out running to charcoal rather than silver are pulled aside and cut on their own, and on those the pale crystalline veining stops being a soft drift and arrives as a bright line across a dark ground. That is a strong effect over a small area and a restless one over a large one, which is why the stone is offered for feature walls, bathrooms, vanity tops, bar and reception fronts and wall cladding, and not for flooring. Three finishes are cut. Polished gives the veins their hardest read, honed pulls them back and is the more forgiving of the two on a marble this dark, and leathered is the one to specify where hands and water reach the surface. Availability is moderate because the dark grade is a selection out of ordinary Imperial Grey production, not a face of its own.
Imperial Grey is the silver grade off the same North Sinai bed, and it is the one carrying interior flooring and stairs and risers in its application list; the Dark grade carries neither. On a project taking both, the usual split is the light grade underfoot and the dark on the wall or the vanity behind it.

How Imperial Grey Dark is supplied
Blocks
Quarry blocks selected and squared. Typical 2.6 – 3.0 × 1.5 × 1.5 m, 18 – 30 tonnes. Sold by m³, loaded on flat rack or in-container with steel cradles.
Gangsaw slabs
Full-size slabs from the gangsaw. Marble typically 2.6 – 3.0 × 1.6 – 1.9 m in 2 cm and 3 cm; granite 2 cm and 3 cm. Bundled by block so vein sequence is preserved.
Tiles
Calibrated tiles in 30×30, 30×60, 40×40, 60×60, 60×120 cm and free length, 1.0 – 3.0 cm. Edges straight-cut or bevelled, back-mesh on request.

Can I use Imperial Grey Dark on a floor?
It is not offered for flooring. The applications listed for it are feature walls, bathrooms, vanity tops, bar and reception fronts and wall cladding. If you want the North Sinai grey underfoot, specify Imperial Grey, which carries interior flooring and stairs and risers.
Will a repeat order match the first one?
Treat it as a single-batch stone. Dark is a selection made when blocks come out charcoal rather than silver, which is why availability is listed as moderate rather than high — order the whole quantity at once instead of planning a top-up against the same name later.
Which of the three finishes suits a bar front or a vanity top?
Leathered. Polished gives the pale veining its brightest read but a dark polished marble shows handling; leathered is brushed to a soft satin with slight relief and is the finish cut here for surfaces that get touched. Honed sits between the two and is the more forgiving on wall panels.
What formats is it cut in?
