Drag the slab to turn it, or use the arrow keys. Switching finish re-renders the surface — polished throws a hard specular, the abraded finishes open the surface up and knock the colour back.
Fillito takes its name from the filaments: thin, dark, almost drawn lines that cross a pale beige ground at a consistent angle. Very few Egyptian beiges carry this much graphic energy — the contrast between line and ground is high enough that the pattern reads across a room instead of resolving only close up. The angle is what has to be planned around. Because the lines run one way, a panel turned to suit a wall does not blend in, it announces itself, so orientation must be fixed on the setting-out drawing before cutting, and consecutive slabs must not be separated in transit if the pairs are to book-match. It belongs on a wall — feature panels, reception fronts, cladding, table tops — rather than spread across a floor, where the filaments have to be reconciled with the joint pattern. Availability is medium, the formats stop short of steps, sills and mosaic, and it is also sold as Filetto.
Golden Cream Vein is the other directional stone in the range, cut along the bed so the veining runs in straight parallel lines — but its lines are soft gold on cream, and it is available in volume. Fillito's filaments are dark and high-contrast on medium availability, so it belongs on one wall rather than throughout.

Photographs
Fillito in the yard
We are photographing this material now. Until the shoot is done, the turning slab and the close-up below are renderings, and the honest answer to “what does it actually look like” is a sample in your hand.
No photographs yet. Ask us for the current slab and block photographs of Fillito — we shoot them on request, in the yard, with a scale in frame. A cut sample goes out by courier the same week.
Laid out
Fillito across a floor
A photograph shows one slab on a stand. This shows the stone tile after tile — where the pattern repeats, how far the tone drifts across a batch, and what the joint does to it. Every tile here is cut from a different part of the surface, the way material comes out of a real crate.
Indicative layout. Tone drift is deliberate — no two tiles from one batch match exactly, and a laid floor should never look like one photograph repeated.
In the room
Fillito against your wall colour
Nobody buys stone on a white background. Put Fillito on the floor, up the wall or across a worktop, set the colour it will actually sit against, and change the light — the same three questions every client asks on a site visit, answered before the sample ships.
A scene, not a render of your project: proportions are indicative and colour on a screen is never the colour in a room. Send us the drawings and we will lay the real slab sizes out against your setting-out.
Surface
Fillito, close up
The slab above turns; this is the same stone at the size it sits in your hand. Change the finish and it re-cuts.
Roughly a 130 mm span of Fillito, polished. A rendered preview, not a photograph of stock — ask for a physical sample before you specify.

Asked about this stone
Fillito — questions buyers ask
Can Fillito be book-matched?
Yes, and it is the main reason to buy it. Keep the slabs in their block bundles so consecutive pairs are not separated in handling, and mark the pairing on the setting-out drawing before any cutting starts.
Do the dark lines run the same way on every slab?
They cross the ground at a consistent angle within a block, which is what makes the book-match work. It also means orientation has to be fixed on the drawing — a panel rotated to fit a wall will not blend in, it will read as a mistake.
Is it suitable for flooring?
Tiles are supplied, but the stone is at its best on a wall. Across a floor the directional filaments have to be reconciled with the joint pattern, and the graphic quality that justifies the material starts working against the room.
Which finish keeps the contrast?
Polished deepens the ground and pulls the dark filaments up hard against the pale beige. Honed and brushed both soften the difference, which is the option if the wall is meant to be quieter.
