Drag the slab to turn it, or use the arrow keys. Switching finish re-renders the surface — polished throws a hard specular, the abraded finishes open the surface up and knock the colour back.
Tiger Eye is a fibrous quartz. The fibres run one way through the stone and throw a band of light across the face that travels as you move past it. That movement is the whole reason to buy it, and it does not photograph, which is why buyers ask for a sample of this one when the rest of the range is chosen from slab images. It also makes direction a specification item rather than a detail: mark the fibre direction on the setting-out drawing, because two panels laid at ninety degrees to each other will not read as the same material whatever the cutting list says. The colour is golden brown in broad, fairly straight bands. It is polished only, bought in through the partner supply, and listed for feature walls, bar fronts, reception desks, table tops and decorative objects: a reflected-light material, not one of the backlit panels.
Yellow Quartz is the other golden material in the category and it works the opposite way round: it is bought for what light does coming through it, and backlit panels head its list of uses. Tiger Eye does its work in reflected light, so the two are rarely alternatives for the same detail.

Photographs
Tiger Eye in the yard
Photographs of our own blocks, slabs and finished work. Slab photography shows one slab — the block it came from is what you are quoted against.
Laid out
Tiger Eye across a floor
A photograph shows one slab on a stand. This shows the stone tile after tile — where the pattern repeats, how far the tone drifts across a batch, and what the joint does to it. Every tile here is cut from a different part of the surface, the way material comes out of a real crate.
Indicative layout. Tone drift is deliberate — no two tiles from one batch match exactly, and a laid floor should never look like one photograph repeated.
In the room
Tiger Eye against your wall colour
Nobody buys stone on a white background. Put Tiger Eye on the floor, up the wall or across a worktop, set the colour it will actually sit against, and change the light — the same three questions every client asks on a site visit, answered before the sample ships.
A scene, not a render of your project: proportions are indicative and colour on a screen is never the colour in a room. Send us the drawings and we will lay the real slab sizes out against your setting-out.
Surface
Tiger Eye, close up
The slab above turns; this is the same stone at the size it sits in your hand. Change the finish and it re-cuts.
Roughly a 130 mm span of Tiger Eye, polished. A rendered preview, not a photograph of stock — ask for a physical sample before you specify.

Asked about this stone
Tiger Eye — questions buyers ask
Why does this one need a sample when the rest of the range is sold on photographs?
Because the sheen does not photograph. A still image shows a golden banded stone and misses the band of light that travels as you walk past it, which is the reason to buy it.
Does panel orientation matter?
More than with any other stone here. The sheen follows the fibre, so every panel in a run should be laid the same way and the direction marked on the cutting list.
Is Tiger Skin the same material?
Yes, it is sold under both names. Ask under either and you will get the same stone.
What lighting shows it best?
A directional source, and a viewer who moves. Under flat, even light the panel settles into a plain banded gold and the effect you specified it for disappears.
