Drag the slab to turn it, or use the arrow keys. Switching finish re-renders the surface — polished throws a hard specular, the abraded finishes open the surface up and knock the colour back.
Miele is the honey onyx, the one most people are picturing when they say the word. The bands run broad and fairly straight in amber over gold, so a full panel lit from behind reads as poured amber rather than as a set of veins, and it is the warmest material we handle with light behind it. That warmth is the thing to design around: it pushes everything near it towards yellow, and a cool white source behind the panel does not neutralise it, it only makes the amber look wrong. Note what the listing covers, too: backlit panels, bar fronts, feature walls, reception desks and lighting. Vanity tops are not on it, unlike Beige, Champagne and Ice White, so if you need an onyx top start with one of those. Polished or honed, in slabs and cut-to-size, imported block through the partner supply.
Brown Onyx is Miele taken dark — near-opaque chocolate with the lights off, amber only when they are on, and the biggest gap between the two states of any onyx we handle. Miele is warm in both states, which makes it the safer specification where the panel is not lit all day.

Photographs
Onyx Miele in the yard
Photographs of our own blocks, slabs and finished work. Slab photography shows one slab — the block it came from is what you are quoted against.
Laid out
Onyx Miele across a floor
A photograph shows one slab on a stand. This shows the stone tile after tile — where the pattern repeats, how far the tone drifts across a batch, and what the joint does to it. Every tile here is cut from a different part of the surface, the way material comes out of a real crate.
Indicative layout. Tone drift is deliberate — no two tiles from one batch match exactly, and a laid floor should never look like one photograph repeated.
In the room
Onyx Miele against your wall colour
Nobody buys stone on a white background. Put Onyx Miele on the floor, up the wall or across a worktop, set the colour it will actually sit against, and change the light — the same three questions every client asks on a site visit, answered before the sample ships.
A scene, not a render of your project: proportions are indicative and colour on a screen is never the colour in a room. Send us the drawings and we will lay the real slab sizes out against your setting-out.
Surface
Onyx Miele, close up
The slab above turns; this is the same stone at the size it sits in your hand. Change the finish and it re-cuts.
Roughly a 130 mm span of Onyx Miele, polished. A rendered preview, not a photograph of stock — ask for a physical sample before you specify.

Asked about this stone
Onyx Miele — questions buyers ask
Is Honey Onyx the same stone?
Yes. Miele is the Italian trade name and Honey Onyx the English one; both are on this record, so ask under either.
What light source suits it?
An even one behind 15–20 mm of stone, and warm rather than cool. It is the warmest material we handle backlit, and a cold white source does not correct the amber — it only makes it look wrong.
Will the bands follow on from panel to panel?
Within one block, yes: the banding is broad and fairly straight, so consecutive slabs sequence. Across blocks it will not, and you will be choosing from photographs of the slabs that exist at the time.
Why is it not listed for vanity tops when Beige and Champagne are?
Our listing for Miele is backlit panels, bar fronts, feature walls, reception desks and lighting. If the job needs an onyx top, start with Beige, Champagne or Ice White — and note that all of them etch at Mohs 3–4.
