Indian Onyx has the most regular banding of the greens: fine, near-straight, holding a consistent scale across the slab instead of swelling and thinning the way the other greens do. That regularity is the reason to specify it. A stone that bands predictably can be run in sequence, several panels reading as one continuous surface, which is a different job from buying a single showpiece slab. Green and white, mid-toned, polished or honed, slabs and cut-to-size, on partner-supplied imported block. Backlit panels, feature walls, vanity tops, bar fronts and table tops are the listed uses. The one thing regular banding punishes is careless setting out: straight bands make every misaligned joint visible, so the run direction has to be fixed on the drawings and held on site, not decided by whoever is fixing the second panel.
Green Onyx is the darker, higher-contrast green and makes a single panel that carries a room. Indian Onyx is the one that repeats, which makes it the better answer when the drawing shows a green wall rather than a green feature.

How Indian Onyx is supplied
Gangsaw slabs
Full-size slabs from the gangsaw. Marble typically 2.6 – 3.0 × 1.6 – 1.9 m in 2 cm and 3 cm; granite 2 cm and 3 cm. Bundled by block so vein sequence is preserved.

Does the name mean the block comes from India?
The name is a trade name. Our record lists it only as partner supply on imported block — we do not quarry it — so if the source matters for your documentation, ask before you order.
How many panels can I run in sequence?
More than with the other greens, which is the point of it. The banding is regular enough that consecutive slabs read as one continuous surface, and slabs are bundled by block so that sequence survives the shipment.
Which way should the bands run?
Decide on the drawings and hold it across every piece. The banding is straight enough that a panel turned the wrong way, or a joint slightly out of line, is visible from across the room.
Is it suitable for a vanity top?
Vanity tops are on its list and the even banding suits a top better than a heavily figured onyx would. It is still a soft, acid-sensitive stone, so honed wears more gracefully than polished and acidic cleaners have to be kept away from it.
