Concrete Grey is a mid grey with a soft tonal cloud worked through it, engineered to give the look of poured concrete on a surface that behaves like quartz: non-porous, nothing to seal, and no acid mark where the wine glass stood. Specify it honed. The polished version is on the list, but gloss flattens the cloud and the concrete reference goes with it, which is most of the reason to choose the colour. The cloud is tonal rather than figured, so nothing has to be aligned across a joint and a long commercial counter or a bar front can be cut from wherever the slabs allow. Order the whole run out of one batch and the tone holds along it. Made to order in slabs and cut-to-size, and it goes onto wall cladding and table tops as readily as onto worktops.
Cement Ash is the same concrete idea taken down to charcoal. Concrete Grey holds the mid tone, which is why it works against both pale and dark joinery, where Cement Ash commits the room to a dark surface.

Gangsaw slabs
Full-size slabs from the gangsaw. Marble typically 2.6 – 3.0 × 1.6 – 1.9 m in 2 cm and 3 cm; granite 2 cm and 3 cm. Bundled by block so vein sequence is preserved.

Concrete Grey — questions buyers ask
Honed or polished?
Honed. The polished finish is produced and can be ordered, but the gloss sits over the tonal cloud and the poured-concrete read disappears — which is the thing you are buying the colour for.
Does it need sealing the way a cast concrete top does?
No. It is non-porous engineered quartz, so there is no sealing schedule and no acid etching from citrus or wine. That maintenance difference is the usual reason a project specifies this instead of casting the top in concrete.
Will a long counter run look consistent?
The cloud varies a little slab to slab, but there is no pattern to align at a joint. Order the full run from one batch and take it cut-to-size so we can decide where the joints fall.
Can it go outside — a terrace or an external bar?
No. Everything we list this quartz for is interior work, and we do not quote it for external positions. For an outdoor counter or terrace, ask us about granite instead.
