Beige Dune is named for what its figure does. Instead of discrete veins there is a long, slow drift across the slab, sand-toned and running one way. That makes it a stone to lay deliberately. Gangsaw slabs are bundled in block order, and set out in that order the drift carries from one panel into the next across a floor or up a wall; break the sequence and the same material reads as unrelated blotches. So fix the setting-out before anything is cut, and have the pieces marked to it. Availability is medium rather than continuous, which is a second reason to take a whole area in one batch. Finishes run polished, honed, brushed and sandblasted, and sandblasted is the one to ask about for the stairs, since it gives an even matt face with grip while leaving the drift legible.
Silvia Menia is what to specify if you want a calm beige with no sequencing to manage, since it carries almost no figure. Beige Dune trades that convenience for a drift that actually travels across the surface.

How Beige Dune is supplied
Blocks
Quarry blocks selected and squared. Typical 2.6 – 3.0 × 1.5 × 1.5 m, 18 – 30 tonnes. Sold by m³, loaded on flat rack or in-container with steel cradles.
Gangsaw slabs
Full-size slabs from the gangsaw. Marble typically 2.6 – 3.0 × 1.6 – 1.9 m in 2 cm and 3 cm; granite 2 cm and 3 cm. Bundled by block so vein sequence is preserved.
Tiles
Calibrated tiles in 30×30, 30×60, 40×40, 60×60, 60×120 cm and free length, 1.0 – 3.0 cm. Edges straight-cut or bevelled, back-mesh on request.
Cut-to-size

Beige Dune — questions buyers ask
Does the drift really have to be planned?
On anything larger than a small area, yes. Ask for slabs in block sequence, set them out in that order, and have cut-to-size piece-marked to the plan — laid at random the drift breaks up into blotches.
Can Beige Dune be used outside?
It is listed for interior flooring, wall cladding, feature walls, hotel interiors and stairs, not for facades or external paving. Hashma Beige, out of the same Eastern Desert, is the beige specified for external work.
Can a stair be matched to the floor?
Steps and risers and sills are all in the format list, so a flight can be cut from the same block as the floor beside it. It is worth doing with this stone, because the continuous drift is what ties the pieces to each other.
Brushed or sandblasted?
Brushed opens the surface but keeps the sand tone warm. Sandblasted is flatter and more even-grained with better grip. Say which one the samples should be finished to, because the two look different enough to decide from.
