Marble to a tight specification for hotels, towers and private houses — bookmatched feature walls, lobby flooring, stair treads and vanity tops — with granite for external paving and plinths. Consistency across a phased handover matters more than price per square metre on this work.

The eight steps

Choose the stone

Send the name your market knows the stone by, or a photograph, and we match it to the blocks we can supply. Every stone has its own page with its colour, origin, finishes and formats.

Egyptian marble · Egyptian granite · cut-to-size · floor tiles

Send what the quotation needs

The stone, the finish, the thickness and quantity of each item and your port — or the bill of quantities or the drawing as it is. The full checklist

Get the quotation

Item by item, with the number of containers: FOB Sokhna, CIF to your port, or DAP to site in Doha. Usually within one working day. What sets the price of Egyptian marble and granite

Pay in three stages

50 % in advance, on order; 30 % after your approval of the finished production; 20 % before shipping.

Approve the stone before it ships

Photographs of your actual slabs or bundles, or an inspection at the factory, before the 30 % is paid and before anything is loaded.

Loading the 20 ft container

About 421 m² of 2 cm granite or 429 m² of 2 cm marble per 20 ft, on a 25 t payload with packing. Every thickness

Shipping to Qatar

In normal times everything for Qatar lands at Hamad Port, south of Doha, and goes on by road to sites in Doha, Lusail, Al Wakrah and the north; while sailings through the Strait of Hormuz are disrupted, the port of entry and the route are confirmed when the container is booked. We quote CIF to your port, or DAP to site in Doha where you would rather have one contract to the door, with the container count for every stone and thickness on the quotation.

Transit times are indicative port-to-port sailing times and exclude customs and inland haulage. Confirm at booking — they move with the season and the service.

Sailings into the Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz have been disrupted since early 2026, so the route and the transit time are confirmed when the container is booked.

Documents, duty and clearance in Qatar

With every container: the commercial invoice, the packing list and the bill of lading, and a certificate of origin. Customs clearance at your end is yours or your broker's.

Qatar is a GAFTA member, so an Arab preference certificate of origin legalised through the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce applies to qualifying Egyptian goods. Qatar applies GCC standards and requires a certificate of origin with the shipping documents — confirm the current conformity requirements for stone with your clearing agent before we ship. Timber packaging is heat treated to ISPM 15.
