Canada buys granite for kitchen countertops and beige marble for floors and bathrooms, mostly through distributors who also supply the US. Egyptian granites such as Aswan Red and Gandola, and the Egyptian beiges, widen a range that today comes mainly from Italy, China and the United States.

Get the quotation

Item by item, with the number of containers: FOB Alexandria or CIF Montreal or Halifax. Customs clearance and inland delivery are yours or your broker's. Usually within one working day. What sets the price of Egyptian marble and granite

Pay in three stages

50 % in advance, on order; 30 % after your approval of the finished production; 20 % before shipping.

Approve the stone before it ships

Photographs of your actual slabs or bundles, or an inspection at the factory, before the 30 % is paid and before anything is loaded.

Shipping to Canada

Alexandria → Montreal or Halifax, with rail or road to Toronto; Vancouver on request: Confirmed at booking: services to Montreal and Halifax usually tranship at a Mediterranean hub.

Transit times are indicative port-to-port sailing times and exclude customs and inland haulage. Confirm at booking — they move with the season and the service.

Documents, duty and clearance in Canada

With every container: the commercial invoice, the packing list and the bill of lading, and a certificate of origin. Customs clearance at your end is yours or your broker's.

A certificate of origin, the commercial invoice, the packing list and the bill of lading travel with every container, and timber packaging is heat treated and marked to ISPM 15. Egyptian-origin goods may qualify for Canada's General Preferential Tariff: confirm the rate with your customs broker before we load. Canadian specifications are usually written to ASTM, so say so at quotation stage if yours is. For the stone you select we arrange water absorption, flexural strength and abrasion tests at an accredited laboratory.

Can you ship to Toronto?

Yes, through Montreal, with the inland leg by rail or truck. We quote CIF Montreal and your forwarder takes it from there.

Do you ship LCL?

No — full containers only. We consolidate several stones into one container if that is what it takes to fill it.

Will it stand a Canadian winter outdoors?

Granite is the safe choice for exterior paving and steps. For any marble or limestone you want outside, we arrange frost and water-absorption tests on the stone you select first.
